When Turkey is at its best!
Embedded between the pine covered mountains and the blue water you will find the charming and beautifully located, Marmaris. This small fishing village has, in just a few decades, turned into the Turkish Riviera’s most popular resort, and today it is call Turkey’s Saint Tropez. It’s not hard to understand why Marmaris has grown so fast in popularity, not only among the Turkish people themselves, but also among other Europeans. The city has everything!
In the centre of Marmaris you will find the beach. A long, narrow beach consisting of coarse-grained sand and shingle, it’s the obvious favourite among all visitors. Here you can enjoy many lazy hours and the coolness of in the crystal clear Aegean Sea. Along the beach runs the amazing boardwalk that invites nice walks, and here you’ll find trendy beach bars side by side with restaurants. On one side of the boardwalk you will find the luxurious marina Netsel, which has been ranked as one of the best in Europe, and where exclusive yachts anchor up every year. On the other side of the boardwalk you will find the quieter sister resort, Içemeler.

Around the harbour and in the old town it is teeming with shopping oppotunities, bars and restaurants. In the bazaar you can haggle over everything from spices to jewellery and grab some real bargains. As sunset approaches, the boardwalk becomes lively and music from nightclubs starts to be heard.

Best time: Between May – September the weather is the best. Peak season is in July and August where the average temperature is about 35 degrees (Celsius).
