Shanghai is an impressive city in many aspects. To someone who’s never visited China before, just walking the streets downtown can be a great experience as these extend far and have a huge number of people all day long.
In the middle of Shanghai is the People’s Square, where millions of people gather daily to meet with friends and hang out. People’s Square also contains a very nice park, where you can enjoy a lovely walk or simply make a nice excursion.
On the other side of the channel is the Pudong district. It’s the newest district of Shanghai with the tallest skyscrapers; some of it is included unsurprisingly among the world’s tallest. Here, you’ll also find the most well-known building in Shanghai, the Pearl Tower.
Swedish citizens require a visa for travelling to China. You can apply for a visa at the China Visa Application Service Center in Stockholm as well as in Gothenburg.
