Majorca

Majorca is a wonderful holiday island with something for everyone. It’s multifaceted and offers a variety of holiday ingredients which no other destination in the Mediterranean can match. The large amount of returning travellers to this flourishing holiday island is the highest rating Majorca could get!

Those of us who work at Norwegian Holidays have travelled countless times to Majorca, both for business and pleasure. Some of us would actually like to call Mallorca the most complete and fantastic travel destination in the Mediterranean, but sometimes you have to be a bit objective.

During the summer we has trips to Majorca departing from London. During the winter we also have trips to Palma and the south coast of Spain, perfect for a slightly more metropolitan weekend holiday during the cooler part of the year.

Why should you travel to Majorca?

Forget about traditional pig parties with endless amounts of sangria. Today, Majorca is much more sophisticated and trendy than the all-night-and-all-day-fiesta reputation the island deservedly got in the 70s and 80s. Sure, the island is still visited by crowed tourist buses, party-hungry adolescents and still offering horrible hotels as in the beginning of the Charter, but with your radar turned on you can easily avoid the less desirable parts of Majorca.

The transformation is reminiscent of that of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. Today we say “Goodbye, Mr. Hyde,” and welcome the stylishly renovated hotels, the chic and trendy restaurants, the cosy boutique hotels, and the significantly more beautiful infrastructure.

One thing that couldn’t be improved was the magically beautiful and varied nature of Majorca. Mallorca has something for everyone – the bustling big city of Palma, all types of beach resorts, exquisitely beautiful bays to swim in, accommodation for all preferences and budgets, as well as all the ingredients for a comfortable vacation full of experiences. Who can disagree with Majorca being called the most perfect holiday island of the Mediterranean.
