The Moroccan government has introduced a tourism tax for overnight stays. Because of this, all hotels and apartment hotels charge an extra tax. However, children under two years old are excluded from this tourist tax. The tax is paid directly to the hotel on site. The cost per person and night is 1-4.5 euro, depending on the classification of the hotel.
