Venice

No cars, no traffic noise and no exhaust! But it is unsurprising because the streets are too narrow, the bridges are also beautiful, and the crowded street life is too intense for motorised quads in Venice. Instead, you can hear the water lapping from when a watercraft has passed, sweet tones from any bar with outdoor seating and a slight murmur from strolling visitors. Venice is fabulously beautiful, perhaps the most beautiful city in the world. No photos can replace the visual pleasure that you will experience in reality. There are those who compare the feelings with a religious experience, perhaps an exaggeration, but it is pretty close.

But watch out, there are thousands of snipers in Venice, not as dangerous as it sounds but perhaps best to avoid. The Venice residents call the pigeons the “cecchino” (sniper in Italian), so watch out when you pass under street lamps and poles; the possibility that a sniper is watching you is big. In exceptional cases, air strikes can also be done with harmless ammunition from the pigeons.

Piazza San Marco, or as we say in English, St. Mark’s Square, is the heart of Venice. It is here where you can find St. Mark’s Church, which after St. Peter’s Church in Rome is the most famous Catholic church in the world. According to the legend, it took 30 years to build it and 300 years to decorate it. It is a privilege to visit Venice; you will not find a more beautiful and romantic city. At Norwegian Holidays, you will always find affordable hotels in attractive locations.
