Reykjavik

Reykjavik is the capital of Iceland and its biggest city. The name comes from “Rökvik/rökavik” which means “bay of smokes” and comes from the sight of all the hot springs and geysers still found in the city.

The northernmost capital in the world is also one of the coolest cities. The atmosphere, with a perfect balance of city and village, hovers like a cloak over the fascinating little metropolitan. An amazing landscape starting at the edge of Reykjavik makes it a very popular destination and attracts more and more visitors every year. So what do you say? Isn’t it time to explore what the city and the surroundings have to offer?

A trip to Iceland might be just the thing you need to relax and find your inner calmness. The fresh air will make you relax and give you plenty of energy for adventurous days, like trips to beautiful waterfalls and national parks, deep sea fishing, salmon fishing, whale watching, horse rides in the wild, bird watching, and lots of other activities, depending on what time of year you are visiting. Don’t miss out on visiting the famous “Blue Lagoon”, an enormous hot spring with warm water full of minerals under the clear blue sky!

In Reykjavik, you will come across amazing food where the Icelandic kitchen and cozy restaurants have a unique style. Local chefs will mix fish, seafood, and lamb of exquisite quality with an international touch. Iceland also has a famous schnapps called “black death”. Do you dare to try it?
