The first time Moscow is mentioned is year 1147 and ever since the city has had a long and exciting history. Here you will find a mix of unique historical attractions, exclusive shopping and a spectacular nightlife.
The city’s hub and historical centre is the Kremlin. It’s the oldest part of Moscow and is usually associated with the Russian authorities. The Kremlin means castle and inside the defense wall there are historical buildings from the 1500s. From here Russia is ruled, and it is in the Kremlin that the government in situated. The UNESCO World Heritage Site, The Red Square, is the square that divides the Kremlin and the president’s residence. The square is perhaps the most famous one in the world, and is seen as the centre for all of Russia and the place to where all roads will lead. The Red Square has gone from being a market place to make room for military parades and today is a common meeting spot.

Getting around Moscow is easy. The subway is quick, smooth and cheap, not to mention nice to look at. Chandeliers and arts in mosiac is a common sight underground.
Travel her: Aeroflot fly directly from Arlanda and Copenhagen to Moscows biggest airports, other big airlines offers flights with a connecting flight in a big European city. From Gothenburg there are flights with a layover.
Best season: At winter it can get really cold and in summer really hot, It’s best to go in the spring or fall.
