Multifaceted Rome has irreplaceable cultural treasures, magnificent buildings, chic bars, trendy restaurants and upscale fashion boutiques, all in a magical symbiosis. If you are visiting Rome for the first time, there are some “must haves” but also countless opportunities for “the sweet life”. It is not easy to explain after a visit to Rome that you forgot to see the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, the Pantheon, Fontana di Trevi and St. Peter’s church.
Rome is the city of walks and with normal fitness, no other equipment is needed than a pair of good shoes. Where is it best to stay? Naturally, there are many subjective opinions about this, but there is hardly anyone who cannot imagine the neighbourhood south of Villa Borghese, down towards Via Veneto. From here, you are close to the Spanish Steps, the elegant shops of Via Condotti, Fontana di Trevi and further down to you find the maze of streets and alleys surrounding Piazza Navona. If you continue walking for another ten minutes and cross the Tiber, you will get to the picturesque district, Trastevere, with its fabulous range of restaurants and picturesque atmosphere. You can visit Rome time and again and constantly be reminded what you missed so much at your previous trips here. Bring a pair of great shoes and travel to Rome for the first or tenth time!

Transfer to your hotel
If you want a transfer from the airport to and from your hotel, we recommend the train directly from the airport to the city centre. From there you can often walk to your hotel or possibly take a taxi. If your arrival is during rush hour traffic (morning between 8 -10 AM and afternoon between 3 – 5 PM), then you should avoid taxi transfers from the airport. Otherwise, the taxi is an excellent option when you are going to and from the airport.
