Menorca

Welcome to the charming Mediterranean island of Menorca – the green paradise!

This amazing island, with hundreds of beaches, turquoise bays and extensive greenery is the second biggest island of the Balearic Islands.

Norwegian Holidays offers trips to several of the island’s picturesque, quiet and well-kept places. We have handpicked hotels at our own, and our travellers personal favourite spots! Stay in the old town and the previous capital Ciutadella Cala’n Bosch which is one of the most popular places at our destination. Santo Thomas with its 2km long sandy beach or the present capital Mahon with it’s 5km long and 900 metre wide port, which after Pearl Harbour, is the second deepest natural harbour in the world!

“Menorca’s biggest assets are the slow tempo, the crystal clear water and the green landscape. It is strengthen by investments in small-scale farm production and more permits to operate Tourismo Rural, which are small hotels with six to eight rooms.”

Don’t forget to pack your walking shoes and discover the pretty landscape by foot, or by riding a bike. Menorca is an excellent destination to discover on your own, or with a knowledgeable guide and go on memorable and refreshing biking adventure.

200 kilometres of winding paths across Menorca is available for those who want adventures! The old monitoring paths, Casmi de Cavalls, are ideal for biking, hiking and scenic horse riding. We recommend that you start your adventure in the area surrounding Cala Galdana! Some of the island’s most beautiful bays, some that are several kilometres long and others that are small and secluded, stretch along Cami de Cavalls and can only be reach by narrow paths or by sea.

Best time to travel

Pre-season or low season is recommended, that is April until October with the exception of July and August. In July it’s 28 degrees in the shade and 24 degrees in the water.
