Fuerteventura

Fuerteventura, one of the captivating Canary Islands, beckons travelers with its blend of natural beauty, endless beaches, and a tranquil atmosphere. This Spanish gem is renowned for its golden sands, crystal-clear waters, and a year-round warm climate, making it a paradise for sunseekers and water sports enthusiasts. Beyond the coastline, Fuerteventura offers rugged landscapes, unique flora and fauna, and charming villages to explore.

Whether you’re looking to unwind on pristine shores, conquer the waves, or embark on adventures in the great outdoors, Fuerteventura has something to offer every traveler.

Where should you stay?

Corralejo

Corralejo on the north point is the islands biggest and most multi-facetted resort. Adjacent to the sandy beach in the bay, and the impressive beach area Las Grandes Playas on the outskirts of the city, the former fishermen village Corralejo has become one of Fuerteventuras most visitied resorts amongst sun-craving tourists.

From the middle of the city and the old centre with its harbour, a nice boardwalk runs along the bay and harbour. From here boats leave to, for instance, the neighbouring island Lanzarote and to the popular excursion Isla de Lobos, a small island with a lagoon-like beach about 15 minutes boat trip from Corralejo. Along Corralejo’s main street there are shops, boutiques, restaurants and open-air cafes side by side, and even if Fuerteventura mostly is known as a destination for peace, quite and carefree relaxation, the centre of the island’s entertainment is located here in Corralejo.

Jandia

Jandia is located on Fuerteventura’s sunny south coast, and here you will probably find the best sandy beaches on the island. Adjacent to the 30 kilometre long dream beach, the turquoise ocean, as well as the pleasant fisherman village and tourist resort Morro Joble, a lot of vacation friendly hotel establishments have been built over the past years. Jandia is popular and today Jandia represents Fuerteventura’s modern tourism with carefree relaxation. The phenomenal sandy beach is one of the main attractions of course, but so is the closeness to the picturesque village Morro Jable as well. The nightlife in Jandia may be designated as relatively quiet with a limited options of restaurants, bars and open-air cafés in the village and along the boardwalk.

Costa Antiqua

This is the place to go if you want peace, fantastic beaches and a relaxed atmosphere. In the town center there is a wide range of cosy open-air cafés, nice bars and restaurants. You will also find good stores that will give you an extra delightful shopping experience. In the small fishing harbour of Pozo Negro, life goes on just as it has done for hundreds of years. A tip is to enjoy the catch of the day in one of the fish restaurants. But it’s probably the beach lover who will love Costa Antiqua the most.

Caleta de Fuste

Caleta de Fuste is an enjoyable resort on Fuerteventuras east side. A wonderful beach, nice harbour, a cosy boardwalk and nice resort hotels characterises this city. The pier that’s located outside the marina makes the closest beach well protected from the ocean. Nearby you will also find one of the two golf courses on the island.
