Alicante

Year after year, thousands of Brits return to Costa Blanca, or “The White Coast” as the name translates in English. This coastal strip, with a range of a whole 200 kilometres from Denia to Pilar de la Horadada, is named after the many lovely white sand beaches which are tightly packed along with it. Along the way are several classic destinations such as lively Benidorm, genuine Alicante and calm Albir. We have handpicked all of our hotels along the coastal area of Costa Blanca, with most of them located in the resort paradise of Benidorm. Whether you are looking for good mid-range hotels or slightly more luxurious first-class establishments, we will have something for you.

Do not miss the following during your stay in Costa Blanca:

  • Along the whole coast are many exquisite underwater grottos. Some of them have a freshwater flow, and from above, you can see the different colours of fresh- and saltwater mixing.
  • Not having paella in Costa Blanca is akin to not having pizza in Italy. This regional dish has its origins in this area with 30 or so different local versions.
  • Make a day trip to the Spanish big city of Valencia, about 200 kilometres south of Alicante. Here you will find rich culture, good shopping and nice restaurants.
  • Aqualandia is Spain’s largest water park with innumerable water slides and other attractions.
  • The beach at Levante has been awarded the EU’s blue flag for its clear water and high standard.

The best time to visit: Costa Blanca has no less than 300 sunny days annually. Hence it’s nice to come here all-year round. Most people choose to go between April – October. During high season (June – August), temperatures are at their warmest with a 30 centigrade average.
